So, when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. – John 9:7 KJV

Jesus pointed to and called out the scribes and the Pharisees hypocrisy, judgement, lack of self examination, lack of mercy, and condemenation of the woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. In the very act as they pointly stated, as to bring awareness to her degradation. However, the scribes and the Pharisees had no room to judge her, to condemn her, to criticize her, because they had sin that their own conscience convicted them of. They knew that they were with sin.

Jesus implemented integrity into the matter. He called them out on their own sin, yet they wanted to condemn a woman who had been caught in adultery. According to the law, a person who had committed adultery, was to be put to death. Stoning was a practice of putting someone to death, by throwing stones at them until they have been killed. Stoning them until they die. Jesus brought awareness to their lack of integrity, to their judgement, and condemnation.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. John 8:9 KJV

Jesus, the One without sin, who by right, could cast the first stone, was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

He said unto her, Woman where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. – John 8:10-11 KJV

He freed her. He by right, could have stoned her, yet, he freed her. He granted mercy, forgiveness, grace, and released her from the judgement that she was by law to receive.

He didn’t condemn her. He didn’t punish her. He didn’t kill her. He gave her another opportunity to live and to live free from sin. Jesus didn’t negate from the fact that she did indeed sin. He didn’t cover or hide the sin. He exposed sin to be sin and told her, “and sin no more.”

Some of you are being accused or have been accused of something that you may have done, however, there is grace, mercy, forgiveness, and release available for you. Inspite of your accusers. Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world. He came that the world through him might be saved. His whole entire purpose of coming into the world was to save the world.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. – John 3:17 KJV

He saved the woman from death and gave her the opportunity to live and to live right. To sin no more.

Until Next Time, “Live And Live Right.”
